Corotation resonance in black-hole accretion disks and kilohertz QPOs

I will review a basic theory behind the black hole accretion-disk oscillations and in particular a theory of the corotation resonance in general relativity that we developed recently. I will summarize basic properties of unstable p modes in an accretion disks surrounding a Kerr rotating black hole trapped very near to the inner edge of the disk. Finally I will discuss a possibility that the kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations originates in the corotation resonance instability.
